AWANA 2024-2025
WHAT IS AWANA?
Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
AWANA is a children’s ministry that seeks to reach kids for Christ through fun, Scripture-rich experiences that lead them to know, love, and serve Him. AWANA uses Scripture memory and Biblical familiarity to make an impact in the lives of children and their families. Each child uses a handbook (guide) to learn Scripture, truths from the Bible, and how to use the Bible. As scripture is memorized and lessons are completed in the workbook, children earn awards to signify each step through the handbook.
Children will be participating in games, crafts, scripture memory, fellowship with kids in their age group, and much more. All of our leaders show up every week to invest in these children’s lives as much as they can for the reward of seeing more children come to know Jesus as their Savior. Children also have the opportunity to earn awards and recognition for their progress in the program.
But Awana is not just for children, it’s also for parents, grandparents, and other adult volunteers who desire to make an impact in the lives of kids. We provide training, background check and resources to help adult volunteers lead and mentor children in their faith journey.
We meet at 6PM on Wednesday evenings beginning September 4th closing the year out with an awards ceremony May 21st. We take a brief break in December.
We charge a $90 fee to join that covers your child's book, uniform, and their various earned awards and incentives. ($150 for families of 3 or more kids). Returning families pay $65 if they already have the uniform from last year.
Please prayerfully consider enrolling your child(ren) in this amazing program that will disciple them to walk with Christ for life!
